The land of TAJ

There cannot be a better time to visit India then now.......Visit India......The land of TAJ

How true is the statement above. Is India only restricted to be the LAND OF TAJ or does it have more to it.

Far from less...India is now being considered an exciting tourist destination in Asia.

But the promotions for !ncrdible !ndia have been restricted mere to the TAJ MAHAL.

I spotted this promotion of !ncrdible !ndia , on an advert board near Tangs, Singapore.

It struck me then that how lowly are we still being thought of .

India has more to it.....the land of unity in diversity.

Its a norm that has been followed ever since.

for Indian tourism something that stands true would be - if its seen it shall sell......

it essentially means that if something is seen by people and is popular among them then the entire focus shifts to that.

The TAJ is one of the seven wonders of the world so its the whole soul tool for promotional campaigns of !ncrdible !ndia.

But then aren't there many a million things more that are capable of drawing people to !ncrdible !ndia

where else can you find the backwaters of kerala , the pangongse lake , the colour palette in the dry land of rajasthan and the rain forests of East

But we cant blame the authorities either.....its we the people of !ncrdible !ndia....who have led to such a failed promotional campaign.

How well versed are we ourselves with the rich heritage of the country. Its this gap that has forced the government to have promotional campaigns for individual states to promote among us what !ncrdible !ndia is all about.

INDIA...........!ncrdible !ndia

Seeing through the window of a AC 2 tier

There was a time......

When I could feel the air rushing thru my hair
and my flame cells weren't enugh to absorb the crisp, fresh air

When an umbrella never accompnied me in the monsoon's
for I cld take shelter in the vast expanse of the mango trees

When our day out, was the nearest green patch
where we basked in the sun and swung from the tree branches

When I cld spot every exotic star with my naked eyes

But today.....

The air is there....
but neither the F of freshness nor the C of crisp can be felt any longer

My umbrella still never accompnies....
for their is hardly any rain

Starbucks or MCD is whr we hop to.....
for only walls are as green as then

My telescope is helpless too....
for its lenses are always clouded with smoke clouds...

SIGH !!!

Help me ..... I dont look anything like a metro :(

Here I am, cuddled up in my quilt, watching Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav, explaining his stand on the issue of count of seats for his party to contest in Bihar.
Man, what has Varun Gandhi got himself into......." this is not a hand but a lotus that can cut off your necks".....like Mr. Rajnath Desai says - elections brings out the worst of our politicians. but wait, is Varun Gandhi a politician even.....huh !!
I look outside the glass windows and see shanty buildings literally breathing their last breaths, clothes flowing with the warn air of the city, adourning all the city roof's. Narrow lanes with hideous infrastructure and the best....cab's or should I say taxi's that are even more hideous , more of a disaster.
I am in another metro of the nation and trust me - it sux :(
hahaha.........i luv this episode of The Great Indian Tamasha :)
Behind the heavy embroidered silk curtains of 4 and 5 stars....there lies the shameful truth of this city. Undraw the curtains and u'll know.
C'mon ....look at Del, Mum,Blr,Hyd.......gosh!! this happens when you spend too much of time on d uncomfortable , squeaky and butt aching chairs of d airports...
In your political tussle , seat stealing/ snatching and throwing TATA out of the state....you have lost out on the essence of what really was needed. Do something about this city man.....go do something.
Let's start with the roads......where do you drive ????
Where do You find some decent space amidst shops that have outgrown themselves onto the streets and trams....those yucckkyyy, disgraceful and ancient yellow tins plying up and down on the main roads of this city.
You are already disgusted enough with all this but then something gets into you and you hit that button and your power windows squeak down giving you the the uber avoidable sight....the sight of the city's buildings.
Warning - Dont sneeze, when around any of these structures ;)
Thank goodness, I fly away from this shit hole tomorrow....wonder what would have happened to moi....had I been here for over a day.
